MIQ 2026 Kicks Off with ‘The Evolving Legacy: Empower Every Voice’ Anchoring Its Role as a ‘Global Equality Platform’ and Driver of the Pink Economy

BANGKOK, 7 September 2026 — Miss International Queen®, founded and organized by Tiffany’s Show Pattaya Co., Ltd. , officially launched its milestone 20th-anniversary edition with the Welcome and Sash Presentation Ceremony at SCBX NEXT TECH, Siam Paragon. The event officially introduced 27 global delegates competing for the coveted crown.

Anchored by the theme ‘The Evolving Legacy: Empower Every Voice,’ the 2026 edition charts two decades of transformation—evolving from a pioneer of transgender visibility into an internationally recognized Global Equality Platform. The initiative unites equality with culture, fashion, tourism, entertainment, and the MICE sector, accelerating the Pink Economy and reinforcing Thailand’s leadership as a premier global Pride destination.

Pioneering Inclusion, Powering the Pink Economy

Fifty years ago, when gender diversity faced widespread societal barriers, Tiffany’s Show Pattaya broke ground by providing a professional, dignified stage for transgender performers. That legacy established a cornerstone of Thai cultural diplomacy (Soft Power) and spurred the creation of Miss International Queen in 2004 with a distinct brand purpose: championing human dignity and universal representation.

Today, that mission has expanded from a human rights imperative into a major economic engine. The global Pink Economy represents substantial purchasing power across tourism, entertainment, and fashion industries, aligning directly with corporate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) benchmarks worldwide.

Today, Miss International Queen works with official National Licensees across key markets—including the United States, Mexico, Japan, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Beyond championing the mission of equality worldwide, each licensee functions as an economic engine that stimulates international tourism and channels global Pink Economy spending directly into Thailand.
